This policy is updated from time to time and the latest version will always be published here.
Can we identify you from our data?
The only data we collect which could identify you as an individual would be a submission through the contact form where you specify your name and contact details. Without those details then data that is collected for analytics (when you have consented to cookies being used) but we cannot and do not identify you from those details.
What do we collect?
Any details you submit through the form on the contact page will come to us via an email and therefore be stored like a normal email would.
The website analytics built into our web server will collect certain information about your visit, as will Google Analytics which is used on this website. An example of the kind of information that will be collected is:
- Details of the browser you are using, screen resolution and operating system.
- Your approximate location
- The keywords or website that led you to our website.
- Details about your progress through the website and where you exited it (with your visit treated as a random number, there is no way we can identify you from this).
How we use this data
Any data you submit through the contact form is just used to allow us to respond to your query.
Please note that none of the analytics information (apart from the IP address) can be used to personally identify you, it only tracks the usage of the website by ‘visitors’. This information helps us to:
- Improve the website for future visitors.
- Identify errors and issues.
How we protect this data
Contact form data is stored as email on our secure cloud server, with access limited to authorised staff through usernames and passwords.
The information is stored on the web servers we use through 1&1 as well as Google’s own data centres (for their analytics). We don’t own any webservers to store any data on and therefore cannot assume responsibility for the security of the data held in those locations other than keeping our login details secure.
How long do we store the data?
Our analytics data does not identify an individual, so is kept indefinitely to provide historical analysis.
Contact form data is kept for as long as is needed to solve the query submitted and will be deleted when it is no longer necessary.
Can I get hold of the data you have on me?
